Robin Williams or Oh Captain, My Captain! asks these boys to seize the day (Carpe Diem). What would that look like for you? What do you feel are things that are important for you to do before you become "worm food"?
Do you think Kevin (Freak) seized the day? Why or why not?
(This was a movie that inspired me to become an English teacher-any guesses as to why?)
I feel that Kevin did Seize the day because he knew in his mind that just because he had a disability and just because people were going to look at him strange or think of him differently,He wasn't going to let that stop him from doing the things he loved. He would wake up and do everything that he could to have fun, and that is seizing the day.
