After visiting the following movie review, write a movie review for "Freak the Mighty". Briefly describe parts of the movie you did and did not like. Also, describe how "faithful" the movie is to the novel. Are the differences from the movie to the novel positive or negative? Explain.

Movie Review

Looking at all 3 of these movie covers, which one do you think is the best? Why? How does is represent the movie the best? If you were to create a cover for "Freak the Mighty" what would you make sure was on it and what wouldn't you include? Also, Sharon Stone is the dominant feature on two of the covers. Why do you think that is? Do you agree or disagree with her being the dominant person? Why or why not?

We have just finished reading "Freak the Mighty" in class, and then we watched the video. Using the novel and this clip, describe the similarities and differences of the two different endings. Also, which ending do you prefer and why?

Seize the Day

Robin Williams or Oh Captain, My Captain! asks these boys to seize the day (Carpe Diem).  What would that look like for you? What do you feel are things that are important for you to do before you become "worm food"?
